a 5th year grad transfer can transfer to?

I do not think so - I think they can transfer even within their conference. (There is a Vir.Tech 5th year grad transferring to Geo.Tech).

The only reason this is allowed is based on the technicality that a graduate can transfer to a new school and retain eligibility if the new school offers a graduate program that his original school does not. These kids are certainly not pursuing that in any majorly serious way, but they do have to maneuver that stipulation.

There were reports from some of the national guys that Mike Thorne had some really odd, seemingly random restrictions to his list -- usually indicative of suspected tampering.

Might explain why VT was mysteriously left off after being considered the heavy favorite right off the bat, but that's just speculation.
