Can I assume….

The game is on ESPN+ only? Can I get that on ACCNetwork plus?

I cant believe how hard this is for some people. Every Pitt home game in every single sport is on an ESPN network until 2036. If its not on "TV" then its stream-only on ACCNX. If you get ACC Network, then you also have access to ACCNX content through the ESPN app. If you don't get ACC Network but do pay extra for ESPN+, then you also have access to ACCNX (but not ACCN, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC) content.

I am the mental midget but we are 6 years into the ACC Network and you have no idea how to watch our home games? Its not difficult. If they arent on "TV," they are on ACCNX. Every single sport. Gymnastics, Softball, everything.

I know that Dude. It was advertised as ESPNplus and I was uncertain if we still got it via ACCNetwork. Just a slip of the mind. Wait till you get old.

Thanks a lot for providing him another self proclaimed W for the GOAT. Lol.

I dont claim any W for knowing something that began 6 years ago and hasnt changed. Well, the ESPN+ part changed. As ESPN has grown ESPN+, it decided to make its non-TV content available to ESPN+ subscribers. So like ACCNX and the SECN equivalent of that. You still get that for free if you have ACCN or SECN but if you don't have those channels, you can watch the "non-TV" (ie the bad games) on ESPN+ if you pay for that.

Here’s a flowchart:

1. Do you have a cable subscription (or YouTube TV, etc.) that includes the ACC Network?

If yes, then you can access any and every sports game that is broadcast from any venue where the ACC team is the home team, except for NCAA tournament games and the small handful of games that are on the CW. If no, proceed to step 2.

2. If you do not have the subscription in (1), you can purchase an ESPN+ subscription and gain access to all of the ACC games that are not on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, the CW, or the ACC Network. These are the games that are streaming only, and are typically designated as “ACCNX.” ESPN+ gives you those.

But I have a Hulu bundle that has ESPN+ stuff listed within Hulu. Would that game be included in that?

I also have YouTube TV but there isn’t ACCNX on that platform so can I go to the regular ESPN app and just sign in saying YouTUbeTV is my television provider and get the game?

But what happens next year when FSU comes out for the 39th time and says they are really pondering whether or not they can do something about their conference plights, will I lose all rights to ACCNX when that happens?

:)

When FSU goes to the B10 or SEC, they will still be under the ACC TV contract so you can watch FSU football, basketball, swimming, beach volleyball, and everything else on the ESPN TV channels or ACCNX.

As for your other questions, read my post or pittchagg's flow chart

If your Hulu package includes the ACC Network (as in, if it’s the Hulu live TV service that lets you watch actual channels that are being broadcast, then you can do one of two things to access the game tonight: (1) you can log onto the ESPN app and sign in with your Hulu live credentials just like you would if you have Comcast, Verizon or YoutubeTV; or (2) if you have the Hulu streaming package (the one that’s frequently bundled with Disney+ and/or ESPN+), then you should be able to watch this game with ESPN+.

But note that if that’s your situation, you can only access ACCNX (sometimes listed as “ESPN+/ACCNX” on the app) games. You can’t watch games that are on any of the ESPN’s or the regular ACC Network.

No worries dude. I know exactly how to get to the games. I was being passively aggressive sarcastic just identifying the multiple options you have now.

I must be dumb or my cable company changed something. This seems to be the first game in many, many years that I can’t seem to watch.

Maybe spectrum entered negotiations with the acc about something following their Disney war.

I have the same problem, I'm with Verizon. It's not on any channel. And I try to watch through ESPN+ but it's not working. I called ESPN customer support and I was told that ACCNX is different than ESPN+; something on ACCNX is not available live on ESPN+.

I remember from another thread that ACCNX is not available for those who get their "TV" from Verizon Fios. I believe this is because Fios added ACCN in a one-off deal and not part of the full ESPN package since that full ESPN contract didnt come due when ACCN launched.

I’ll third Gilligan and your sentiments that this broadcast didn’t work normally.

I had been a longtime YTTV subscriber but had paused/cancelled it a good 6 months ago. All during this time I had been logged into a separate ESPN+ account and no problem watching anything on ESPN+ while not logged into ESPN via a cable provider.

I restarted my YTTV subscription about a month ago but never bothered to log into ESPN via my YTTV subscription. I had still been able to watch things in ESPN+ because of my noted separate ESPN+ account.

But when selecting tonight’s game from ESPN+ it wouldn’t let me watch it, kept prompting me to log into ESPN with my TV provider. So I logged into ESPN with my newly re-activated YTTV account and it gave me access to the game.

So even though supposedly available via ACCNX and ESPN+, I couldn’t get this game solely via ESPN+ as was normally the case

Maybe SMF and/ir Pittchagg can explain it.
