I thought the Pitt bball team would struggle this year but I did not expect them to be so over matched in non-conference games. What is going to happen when Pitt plays very good ACC schools (e.g. Duke, UNC, UVa, Miami, etc...)?

I fully realize that this situation is not all Stallings fault. Jamie really left the a major void in talent due to poor recruiting in his last 3 years. If you do not believe me just look at who is left on the (I know Stallings pushed out several players) and where the players transferred to?

I also realize that Pitt is historically young and inexperienced and I am not sure any team had to bring in so many new players in 1 year.

However, the biggest question and fear tht I have is that Stallings does not have the personality, coaching and most importantly recruiting ability to pull Pitt out of this bball spiral.

The only way Pitt bball pulls out of this spiral is via recruiting. Stallings has showed me in first 3 recruiting classes that he cannot pull in the impact players that can compete in the ACC (see below):

1st class= held on to Jamie recruits but did not hook any of his own players...normally would get at least 1 player)

2nd class = brought in approx 9 recruits but only #5, #23, and may be #13 appear to be above average ACC players. Also missed out on a lot of his first choice recruits.

3rd class = Not impressive at all. Also missed out on a lot of his first choice recruits.

How does going 5-23 and his current negative image excite recruits to come to Pitt?

Someone please explain to me how Stallings recruits Pitt out of this spiral?

Peace out,
NGF
