Could they offer Capel buyout while also indicating that if he doesn’t accept the buyout that they’ll withhold NIL funds until his contract runs up? This probably wouldn’t work for couple reasons with the most obvious being you probably don’t want to tank one of your revenue sports. Capel also would probably more than gladly collect paychecks for the next five years while also knowing the on court product was the result of lack of support. Additionally, with revenue sharing starting this summer would even be feasible/legal? With all that being said, the craziest thing would be continuing with him as head coach. Is there as long as tenured coach as him in power 5 that has a lower winning percentage?
