Winner -- A rivalry revisited:
It took 16 years for Penn State Nittany Lions and Pitt to play again, but it was worth the wait. Pitt's 42-39 win was a classic. Though it looked like the Panthers were going to steamroll the Nittany Lions after jumping out to a 28-7 lead, Penn State made a valiant second-half comeback on the shoulders of running back Saquon Barkley . A blowout shrunk to a one-score game by the fourth quarter before an end zone interception from Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley sealed it.

Penn State and Pitt play three more times between 2017 and 2019. It's no guarantee each one will be as good as this one, but it's good to see these two teams playing again. Penn State-Pitt doesn't have the national lore it used to, but in a weekend of undesirable non-conference games, this one delivered.

I guess the greatness of this game disappoints those Pitt fans who want to end this series and instead play a random PAC 12 or SEC team instead.

Nope. I don't care how great the game is. We shouldn't not play against Penn State in any sport until the majority of their fan base (and the University at large) can behave appropriately.

Double negative; does this mean you want the series to continue? Who cares about the opposing fan base and their arrogance, the players deserve to play this game each year.

I didn't see any bad behavior? Is it because they won't agree with everything you believe?

You didn't see any bad behavior from the primarily local PSU fans, many with friends and family who are Pitt fans. And if they did start any trouble there were severely outnumbered and would get a arse whopping. There is still a significant number of their fans who believe that PSU is the victim. And the University itself is honoring a man who allowed a child molester who was roaming campus. The university is appeasing these deranged lunatics and we shouldn't be involved in profiting from such a disgraced collection of individuals.

And? It's on you to solve this? Honestly, who cares? I can't sit around worrying about what other people believe or don't believe. Why do you care so much what they believe? Personally, I want to PROFIT from them.

I don't want anything to do with profiting from their scandal, which is why the series is 4 games instead of 2. Plus, the institution itself is officially honoring a man who knowingly allowed a child molester to roam campus. I would prefer Pitt not be associated with them in any way until the accept reality.

Hopefully nobody is listening to you, and I'm glad, most people are LIKE ME, and DON'T CARE, and they're only looking at the $$$$$ and the fun of the series and we keep it going forever. Next we need to play WVU regularly.

In my view, and what I have read on the Blog Boards the Penn State & Pitt Fans did just that on Saturday!

Also, Franklin learned his arrogance in calling it just another game came back to haunt him and his Team. Franklin is learning how to become a Head Coach of among Big Ten and Regional Conference Teams as each year passes. It is now a Rivalry Game to him too!

Additionally, it sets an example on how to treat and behave among both Fan Bases for next year at Beaver Stadium.

Moreover, all the outright False Warning Life Threatening Alerts put on BWI Boards by PnnyLiar and Goodnap Hate Numbers were laughed at just like the World laughs at North Korea & Iran antics to make themselves think they are better somehow?

Furthermore, Temple Game will test all Fans again this week. when Temple Head Coach a Penn State Former Player Alumnus brings his team to Beaver for a rematch.

Finally, it was one heck of an enjoyable and close game that showed the character of both Players and teams that played it for all Fans Locally, Regionally, and Nationally!

It Made Pitt & Penn State Proud To Play It Again!
