Well, Curry finished 1-6 after his torrid start so not always the case. So... Yeah. He was unreal in the first quarter. Not so much the remainder of the game.I'm not an NBA fan, but I tried watching some of this last night. It sounds stupid, but it's almost as if the players are too good now for me to enjoy it. If Curry gets open from 40 feet it's the equivalent of a guy getting a wide-open layup back when I used to watch it.
It's actually the same thing that turned me off from the NFL and made me gravitate toward liking college more. Everything has gotten too precise, as if they've found some glitch in a video game.
Sure. And, Tatum won't only score 12 in many if any games going forward this series. I will say White had some huge games shooting v. the Heat just last series and Smart is legit as a shooter/scorer too. Horford is surprising. He's unlikely to do that again.Horford, White and Smart won't go 15 for 23 from 3 again in a game. That was the difference.
I mean…that’s part of the appeal. Much better than watching a random college game with a 59-56 score and “gritty defense” aka bad shooting.I'm not an NBA fan, but I tried watching some of this last night. This is an interesting take. To the contrary, my son says one of the reasons he’s been liking college hoops less and less is because of the wide open jumpers that they miss. And against your point, I can’t help but marvel at times watching some of these pro guys hit incredibly difficult well defended deep shots. Some of them amaze me. But to your point, I still really enjoy watching great team defense stopping a team, like you’ll see in college more than pro.I kind of enjoy the imperfections. I don't know. It's more organic or something.
Some of the ball movement I watched on offense last night... those teams were well-oiled machines. I get why that's appealing to some. It's just not my cup of tea, in the same way the Patriots setting offensive picks and throwing dimes to open slot receivers wasn't my cup of tea.

I enjoy college basketball more, but let's also recognize that more often than not that "great team defense" that they are playing in college is actually more like "bad team offense".
I mean imagine how many points a team that moves the ball like a good NBA offense does would score against the best "team defense" in college. 200?
