CFP: Indiana at Notre Dame

Definitely have a chance. They have a great run defense to counter Notre Dame’s offense. And ND’a defense was shredded by a good USC passing offense their last time out. IU has a very good passing attack, and a balanced offense overall, averaging 173 yards rushing and 266 passing yards per game.

I’m not a ND guy but I think they’re being overlooked in this playoff. They played well this year but they do choke when it counts so it’s understandable.

Better luck next time, Indiana. Maybe we'll see ya in 3024.

IU is a little better than a typical MAC Champ. In reality, they are probably like the 40th or 45th best team. 8-4 or 7-5 if they had a decent schedule. And is this earth-shattering? They have a MAC QB and a bunch of JMU transfers. This is a really nice MAC squad.

I feel their pain. I feel like I've watched this game 100 times before with Pitt teams that fared well against Big East/Coastal competition and then were promptly put in their place against a big boy team.

I think this punter for IU is worse than any we’ve ever had… wow… terrible lol

21-0 ND coming right up 👍

IU Qb looks like a Deer in Headlights.

Mike Shanahans play calling is questionable at best

And of course you have Turtle Timo coaching the Deer in the headlights.

gotta hope Georgie’s back Up qb comes up to speed fast because ND looks like they are going to curb stomp IU.

Indiana is here because they mastered the art of beating bad teams by a lot of points. Clearly doesn't always translate to hanging with good teams. Feels like we see teams benefit by that same magic trick in NET, but I digress.

ND clearly has been winning the line of scrimmage but I’m not sure Riley Leonard can throw the ball down field….actually doesn’t look like either team has much of a passing attack.

Weird game. They are getting blown out 14-3. ND isnt very good either. They beat all the bad ACC teams and Texas A&M in Elko Game 1, which is tough for a new coach. That 1 win is basically what separates their resume from IU's

This is nothing more than a money grab.
Notre Dame will be in the playoffs every year with their easy schedule and preseason ranking every season.
Is this even enjoyable anymore ?

Indiana offense looking a lot like Pitt’s offense in the second half of the season.

Wide receivers are rarely open and the throws to the check down are so late and slow that the athletic ND defense is right there to make the tackles.

IU gamed the system and we are seeing how they perform against a higher level of competition.

Georgia will shut down ND completely.
I was thinking the same thing. Riley Leonard either can't throw down field or his line can't block long enough for it to happen. He has been running for his life and hitting check downs. That is not going to work against Georgia. Georgia will get to him and they won't be successful running against the Bulldogs. I see a score similar to tonight's game, only ND will be on the losing end.

I’m not so sure about that. GT should have beaten UGA at their place and they got the best of them up front. If ND plays well, then I wouldn’t be surprised to see them win.
