The dust has settled, and we have the 7 seed playing the 8 seed for the NC (who had their $ on that final?)

Two teams that have a bad loss at home this season (the one to Northern Illinois by ND is worse than OSU to Michigan, IMO)

Two teams that did not win their regular season conference title (in fairness, ND is an independent)

Two teams that are great defensively and more than serviceable offensively

Two teams led by QB's who came through the portal and are deeply religious - and look like they have never used a razor for whatever that's worth (FTR, has any Pitt player - in a post-game interview, praised the Lord? I know that Palko uttered an expletive on live TV ...)

Two relatively new head coaches for their organizations; one who focuses on offense (Day) and one who is a former DC (Freeman)

Two teams that, while being blue bloods, have little history vs each other, surprisingly; (OSU leads 6-2 and ND hasn't defeated OSU since before WWII)

I have no dog in the hunt, but I do think that OSU wins. Bet the under and take the points with ND (final score prediction: OSU 22, ND 17)

One thing's for certain: Mercedes Benz Stadium will be rocking with a sold-out venue, and the TV revenues will be equally huge

Just wish that Herbstreit wasn't doing the game. No knock on him, but it'll be tough for him to be "neutral"

Will be the highest rated CFP game ever. The south watches no matter what but now every household in the midwest will be tuned in. ND brings the DC to Boston I95 corridor plus the really, the rest of the nation. And OSU is the bluest of blue bloods who turns on TV's everywhere.

I dont see how ND scores much.

24-10 OSU

I think Ohio State blows the doors off of Notre Dame. Don’t really care who wins but slight cheering interest for Notre Dame I guess because I really like Freeman as a coach. We’ll see. It’s a good final though.

ND Got lucky because Allar crapped the Bed. UPS was clearly the better team IMO

OSU will shut down NDs running game and force ND to pass. Could get ugly.

OSUs offense is much better than UPS. Should be an OSU blow out But upsets happen

If the Georgia QB did not get hurt, I think Georgia would be playing OSU. The backup QB may have talent but it was his first start and it showed.

Just a few weeks ago the Buckeye fans ( and some lazy journalists) were calling for Ryan Day's scalp.

Now he's on his way to Atlanta to win the National Title.

OSU offensive line is dominant.

Bucks 27
Irish 13

The overall talent discrepancy between the offenses is just too much. The Ohio St. 31, Irish 13

What a turn around. And yes, what arrogant and entitled fans! Lazy journalists? That comes with the job, nowadays

OTOH, I do get the whole OSU v Michigan thing. It's real. It's a big deal (at least to Buckeye fans). Given the way that both the offensive and defensive MVPs of the Cotton Bowl praised the Lord after last night's game, I don't think that either Howard or Parker resembles the "typical" Buckeye fan. This year's OSU team has a different persona. And maybe that's a reflection on Day. Maybe he is too vanilla for the "Scarlet and Gray" fans, but from what I saw on the sideline views (during the game) he is pretty fired up

I did offer the "luck of the Irish" as to why ND will keep it close. ;) That said, I do not wager on football; last time I did I $hit the bed, royally. We will see where the smart money goes on this. I predicted "under" and ND + the points. A smart bettor might/should do just the opposite
THIS! Evidence of why I don't bet on football, and why YOU should follow the opposite of what Moe predicts 😂😂😂😂
