Well, looks like the OC changes caught CBC Sports eyes. It looks like Coach Pat was right to take so long on making his choice, so many have moved around, and Pitt is now the only Program without an OC right now. It will be interesting to see his choice and explain why he took his time. Many Programs seem to think they must have changes to Win more, but I see Panic and Gambles as well, and when one OC leaves it causes m,ore changes as other take their place.

We shall see but in the meantime here is CBS Sports Dodd takes on part of it anlysing a few Teams. Still, to me, it just evidence there is Panic in SEC in taking on BAMA that separated itself from the remaining 13 Programs.
Excerpt:

Gus Malzahn coordinated the offense of a national champion. His quarterback that year (Cam Newton) won a Heisman Trophy. Three seasons ago, he came within 13 seconds of winning a national championship as a head coach. We'll see how much all that built-up Auburn Tigers equity matters in 2017. For now, Malzahn's hiring of an offensive coordinator has turned into one of the biggest stories of the young offseason. Mostly because it's Auburn and Malzahn and the SEC and the dynasty down the road. Certain lightning rods are more entertaining that others. Auburn is a good place to start, then, breaking down a recent curious and confusing run of coordinator hires. Usually, such coordinator upheaval signals a short leash for the head coach. In other words, the next step after changing the coordinators is changing the head coach......................

Latest News On OC's Canada & Napier. I still think Canada won't get along with LSU Head Coach but clearly could not turn the money. It is was still a great move by Canada because if he is successful at LSU this year, like he was at Pitt in 2016. Matt will be given a Top Head Coaching Job and will have to be more than $3 million. MATT is now one of the Highest Paid OC right now. good luck to Matt
We shall see? Just a Hunch on not getting along with LSU's Big Head Ed!

LSU board approves new contracts for Matt Canada and Dave Aranda
LSU has officially signed off on making new offensive coordinator Matt Canada and defensive coordinator Dave Aranda among the highest-paid assistants in college football. The contracts for each coordinator were given the approval of the Board of Supervisors on Friday, according to a report from TigerRag.com. Receiving the approval was a matter of procedure and there was little doubt the contracts would be approved as LSU looks to strengthen its football program. Hiring top-notch coordinators was essential for LSU as they move forward with Ed Orgeron as the head coach. Aranda has established himself as one of the top defensive coordinators in the game the last few years, including his first season with LSU in 2016 after leaving Wisconsin. Aranda will be paid $1.8 million. In addition to the raise, Aranda also received a contract extension of one year that keeps him under contract at LSU through March 31, 2020. Canada is coming off a brilliant 2016 season with the Pitt Panthers and is now cashing in on that success. The pressure to turn things around at LSU on offense will be immense given the $1.5 million LSU is now committed to for Canada.LSU also approved a new deal for longtime strength coach Tommy Moffitt. Moffitt picked up a three-year extension valued at $400,000 annually.

Reports: Arizona State to hire Alabama WR coach Billy Napier as OC
Arizona State has reportedly found its new offensive coordinator to call the shot sunder head coach Todd Graham. Alabama wide receivers coach Billy Napier will reportedly be the new offensive coordinator for Arizona State. Al.com and Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports were among the first to report the coaching hire by Arizona State. Napier will take over the role of offensive coordinator after Arizona State lost Chip Lindsey to the same role at Auburn. Napier has done good work at Alabama developing some top wide receivers during his time in Tuscaloosa, and Arizona State is hopeful that will continue as Napier returns to the coordinator role for the first time since owning the role at Clemson in 2009 and 2010. Napier will have a chance to call the offense with former Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett. Barnett committed to Arizona State in December. To say Alabama’s offense will have a new look in 2017 is a bit of an understatement, at least as far as the coaching is concerned. This offseason has seen Alabama lose offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin to a head coaching gig at FAU, which resulted in the promotion of Steve Sarkisian to offensive coordinator. Alabama also lost assistant coach Mario Cristobal to Oregon, where Cristobal gets an upgraded role of offensive coordinator under new Ducks head coach Willie Taggart.

Kentucky Promotes Matt House To Defensive Coordinator:
Kentucky has promoted Matt House from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator as the Wildcats try to take the next step in 2017.

Kentucky has promoted linebackers coach Matt House to defensive coordinator, per FootballScoop, replacing D.J. Eliot, who left for the same position at Colorado earlier in January.

House joined Mark Stoops’ staff entering the 2016 season after serving stints at both Pittsburgh and Florida International as the defensive coordinator. In charge of the 2013 Panthers defense, House’s unit finished the season allowing just 367.5 yards per game, good for 34th in the nation.

Prior to being the defensive coordinator at Pittsburgh, House was the secondary coach for a Panthers team that was stingy against the pass, finishing 20th in the nation in 2012 in pass defense, giving up a mere 194.2 yards per game through the air.

Kentucky will return a lot of experienced players from a team that finished No. 85 in total defense this past season, including linebacker Jordan Jones, who led the Wildcats with 109 total tackles, and linebacker Josh Allen, who racked up a team-leading seven sacks in 2016.

The move will bring some continuity to a Kentucky team that will be looking to compete for the SEC East title. The Wildcats broke through this past season with a bowl appearance and an upset victory over arch-rival Louisville in the last game of the regular season.
