An honest assessment:

Narduzzi is at his peak. He's in year six and it's not getting better. If Pitt had beaten NC State & BC and lost to Clemson & ND by 14 and been in close game with Miami I could see progress. We're not. HCPN loses to teams he should beat and is getting blown out by Top 10 teams.

Some of the talent is better ( Defensive Line, LB'ers ) Some of it is worse ( O-Line, TE's, Backs). Offensive schemes and preparation are bad. QB's aren't being developed. 4 year starter Pickett panicked today and threw 4 picks.

So in my opinion, changes need to be made.

I would start with Narduzzi. I would relieve Narduzzi of his duties and give Charlie Partridge a shot. The D-Line is the strength of the team and Coach Partridge couldn't do much worse on Offense.

Offensive Line play is embarrassing. I think that needs to be a recruiting emphasis. The younger guys seemed to play better some they may be developable with the right coaching. Narduzzi's Offenses Coordinator makes Matt Cavanaugh look like a genius.

Now is the perfect time to make the above changes as this year doesn't count against eligibility. Convince 4 or 5 key seniors to return and you minimize the impact of the change.

So don't blow up the entire staff but change Narduzzi, Whipple and Borberly.
