Chryst'a sideline attire....

Chryst's team was in the big championship game and had the big's best bowl victory this year. If the Duzz can do the same, I don't care if he wears shorts with a Bear Bryant hat on the sidelines.

I'm sure Paul would be heartbroken to hear a bunch of Pitt fans watching his top 10 team play in a New Years Six bowl dislike his shirt.
yep, runner up in the weakest conference in the country squeaking by the MAC champ in another meaningless exhibition game that the networks and pundits now call the "New Years Six"...I'm green like the Hulk with envy...

Knock it all you want. They're gonna' finish in the top 10 with a win over Northwestern. We're gonna' finish 8-5 with a loss to Northwestern.

But they lost to the PSU team that Pitt beat...ah the transitive property paradoxes can be so much fun...I like Chyst, I do, but the Big 10 was exposed as the Ronda Rousey of college football so rankings of the teams within it impress me little...

I do have a question..... The ACC seems to do well in bowl games, minus us lately, but conitinues to have crappy bowl line up, top to bottom. Does Pitt basically go undefeated and plays in the payoffs, or lose a game or 2 , and get a bowl game against LOWER TIER U? So for Pitt, it's playoffs or bust? Auburn had 4 losses if I'm correct and got one of the best bowls

Wrong thread , but with the Big Ten stinking up the bowls most years , they are all over the big bowls just to lose

I'm more worried about our defensive wizard putting out the worst defense I've seen since majors 2...and regressed from last year
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts as to why that is, given the fact that Narduzzi had the only defense in all of college football ranked in both the top 10 in rushing D and total D for 4 straight years and while at MSU was widely regarded as the best defensive coordinator in the country.

What do you think went wrong on his flight from Lansing to Pittsburgh? Did he hit his head as a result of some severe turbulence?

Because despite being a TOTALLY overrated conference [for many years running]...the B1G schools pump out tons of alumni with the best of them. So there are plenty of folks to watch televisions and buy tickets and souvenirs for each bowl game that has a contract with them. Pitt, despite doing a great job of selling bowl tickets the past two seasons, is never going to get selected over a team that can really fill the house. If Pitt wants an invitation to one of the better ACC bowls, it is going to need to WIN their way to an invitation. Hail to Pitt!

Until the Big Ten west has a power team, no one can take that division seriously. Iowa crushed, Nebraska hammered, Wisky with a nice win over the Mac champion. Credit NW with a good win over Pitt. Minny with a win over WSU. Can't consider anyone from that division to be a program that can win the Big Ten East.

Maybe Pitt needs to update and start pumping out a lot of alumni like others.

College degrees are so overrated anymore, and stealing of money in most cases , it's a joke unless in maybe 10 fields.

I have never been given a job or turned down for a job cause I graduated from Pitt , over 100 other schools.

Pittsburgh has a way of thinking that's almost primitive, and change is such an evil word, guess it's fear I don't know.

I think Barnes left cause he was time warped into the 50's, and knew change around here would be pulling teeth , his vision wouldn't have ever been allowed to play out , just my guess.

It's like STILLERS or it doesn't matter in Pittsburgh , like zombies in a bubble with a 50's mentality. Once you get out of it and return it's much easier to see how goofy this place really is as a whole

He's no longer the coordinator for a good coach...
And his coordinator isn't good.

Dantonio is such a good coach that he went 3-9 this year and announced recently all of his assistants will remain employed...

And curiously MSU's the worst it's been defensively in 20 years.

Dantonio is an excellent head coach-but the D was Narduzzi's own. They are trying to do the same exact thing with Harlan Barnett and Mike Tressel calling the D, and as we all know, it's not just about the playbook, it's just as much about the guy calling the plays.
