I was thinking back to our Panthers and the most recent "The World Is Ending" Loss:
In Paul Chryst's final Pitt season, with a record-breaking James Conner Toting the Rock, a solid Offensive Line, and Sophomore Tyler Boyd -- Pitt lost at Home to the Akron Zips. Those zips finished 5-7, and 3-5 in the MAC.
That was the infamous game where Manasseh Garner in his post-game frustration exclaimed, "We Don't Play for the Fans".
That was a day where when those Haters say: "Pitt should drop to the MAC!" I was like....dang, we literally did get pushed around at home by a mediocre MAC team.
Pitt and the Program however survived that game, and kept soldiering on and got stronger.
I do think as long as Pat Narduzzi stays, and keeps recruiting as best he can at Pitt --- this program will get much stronger no doubt as all these Super Young Sophomores and RS Freshman gain experience and hopefully get Faster and Stronger.
Unfortunately though since the "All-In on Browne" Bet backfired, Narduzzi is gonna have to be a Magician in handling Pitt's QB situation.
This year actually reminds me a lot of Todd Graham's lone season: where if anyone remembers, he full-on to the Media called out his starting QB as not being good enough, and said he was left with not one guy behind him who could play. Dave Wannstedt did not approve
lol.
Hail to Pitt!
