So LSU loses to SMU by 10, Ohio State loses to Auburn by 38, and now Mississippi State is kind of going down to the wire with McNeese State.

I guess you could argue the SMU result could be better for Pitt in the long run, but nevertheless - not the greatest of days for us.

If we beat SMU and SMU ends up being good, then SMU over LSU is good for us. If we lose to SMU, then it would have been better for us if LSU beat SMU because we want the win to be good for us. Not sure its going to matter anyway because LSU is going to go 4-14 in the SEC without Jalen Reed.

Jim Phillips needs to require that an ACC team hires Will Wade. He had friggin McNeese State in a better spot than most of the ACC. They have losses at Alabama and Miss St by a combined 11

With ESPN+ I have been able to watch bits and pieces of games involving all of Pitt's opponents. Yesterday Clemson, Ohio State and Louisville each ran into team which had a streak of unconscious shooting. Both Clemson (overcoming a five minute drought to start the game) and Louisville played very well. Ohio State looked like Pitt against Miss State. Speaking of Miss State, they looked average against the last couple of mid-majors, maybe they were motivated by revenge after seeing Pitt's jerseys again since the NCAA loss. LSU was ahead by 8 in the first half, but since the injury bug they are a different team. Other than VMI the other opponents are fairing as expected.

Those games weren't on ESPN+. You watched them on the ESPN app and had "free access" since you get the ESPN TV channels

this could be the worst and major conference has done in out of conference games in the history of college basketball. i am not even kidding either.

There's a stat showing that its by far the worst the ACC has ever done. Its probably up there as one of the worst ever, for all conferences but remember the Pac 12 was a 2 bid league a couple times. And the SEC was terrible for basically forever up until recently. They were a 3 bid league a few times.

2nd best non-con record in cbb history behind early 2000s ACC when they were sending like 6 or 7 out of 9 to the dance. Now, we'll be lucky to get 3 or 4 out of 18. The ACC has gotten out of the basketball business.

GT finishing up another bloody weekend for the ACC. 1-5 against high majors. And the only high major loss vs the ACC was the one that could have helped us (LSU).
