I know a lot can change between now and December with where kids go, but Clemson currently has 5 5-stars, 9 4-stars and two 3-stars. They also have the top rated player in the class (QB) and another in the top 10 and some are arguing it might be the best ever recruiting class in the history of college football. I 100% get the appeal to play there. Go there and you will compete yearly for a national championship and Swinney and his staff are the best or second best in the country. But do all of these kids realize only so many players can play? Recruiting classes like this lead me to believe a lot of them will end up transfering if they don't see the field.

Alabama has had the same "problem." Yet year-in and year-out they stockpile the talent.

Good problem to have and good for them!

The only thing we can take courage from is that they can only play 11 guys at a time. Of course their next 11 are equally as good, and probably the next 11 after that. But as long as they snap the ball with the same number of players as us, we have a shot. 2016 may have been a fluke but flukes happen.

2016 we had a very good offense...

Poor GT. They will start every year in that Coastal at 0-1 because they play Clemson every year. So any team they lose to probably has to lose 3 games in ACC play for GT to have a shot at winning the division (2 losses to match GT's two losses, and then a third to overcome the tie breaker). It's a rough road to the Coastal Championship for them.

Yeah but 1/2 will go pro early too. That opens up a lot of space

Not really. Quality depth is critical too. In many cases it's what separates good teams from great ones.
