I post this at the risk of it being moved elsewhere, but this is Pitt basketball related.
While many collegiate head coaches have remained mostly silent on the protests and riots around the country, Coach Capel has been active on Twitter the last couple days. In fact, his voice has arguably been the loudest among coaches. In addition to calling for an end to racism, he’s been sharing a lot of positive moments in what’s been a dark time.
I think it’s awesome to see a Pitt Man trying to create unity and stay proactive in moments like this. I think you can also make the argument that it’s part of the reason why he’s such a strong recruiter; he can relate to all his players and is passionate about what they’re passionate about.
