When this year started, it looked like it was going to be an uneventful coaching turnover year due to the revenues and schedule/roster uncertainties from week to week. But alas, some big jobs could be opening up which would cause a ripple effect across the college football landscape.

It all starts with Jim Harbaugh. This is a marriage that has to end. Now. Only one more year on his contract so you are at extend or fire decision. He's either getting fired or walking away. Which is interesting because this seemed like a complete match made in heaven. I have no idea where Michigan would look, but I am guessing the two biggest names would be Matt Campbell and Luke Fickell.

Then next, one of the truly biggest jobs, and a match again at the time, seemed made in heaven, and that is Texas with Tom Herman. I am thinking this could happen. I am not sure where Texas goes next, they have made some big hires, but nothing has worked. Rumors have it, that Jimmy Franks could be a target.

Tennessee might also come up. This is another school that just can't seem to get out of their own way anymore. But in reality, are likely a good hire away from being back to a top 15 program. I imagine Hugh Freeze and Luke Fickell would be targets, but these stupid southern rednecks can't get out of their own way.

Syracuse with Dino Babers could be another job, but that isn't going to attract the best. South Carolina already moved, and their hire really didn't set off any chain reactions. It will be interesting to see over the next month what happens.
