from his illness. Take the money and run. I would love to see him another year at the college level he would, barring injury or illness, dominate the ACC in rushing and be one of the best in the country.

I have noticed nobody really wants to openly talk about a possible recurrence. I can understand why however.

But yes he should definitely declare for the draft and can't see any reason why he wouldn't

Nothing more to prove. His running, blocking, and passing have all been superb here at the end of the year. Scouts know he has made a full return back to his old form and is actually better now given how good of a pass catcher he has become. If I were any player in his position I'd probably turn pro. No sense in putting on extra milage in college as opposed to making $$$ as a pro.

All reasonable and well thought out posts.

Some of course...that say he should stay are in the dark...clueless . ....

Connor should go. in fact....of all underclassmen that have declared from pitt over the last dozen years or so.....James going to the league is one of the more obvious and ni brainer decisions.

Best of luck JC. you made history here.

The smart career move would be to go to the NFL and get his rookie contract as I doubt his draft stock would raise much--if at all. However, once you leave, you cannot get the college experience ever again. Conner is *the man* for this team and may want one last go around. No doubt I'll support whatever he chooses.

James Conner has displayed during his time at Pitt.....it is his persona of quiet judgment, kindness, and confidence in the face of adversity and maintaining a special relationship with his Teammates, Coaches & People many Children that still fight every day like James does on the field of play, without fanfare, and true genuine humility without a scent of arrogance.

James lives his life with liquid speed and abundance of thankfulness with respect towards everyone. I can wait and see what he decides and he will make the right call within himself. This is not a typical Young Man, James is a Special Man beyond his years!

All of Pitt & College Football are blessed, honored and privileged to witness it!
