I think we are ONE player away from being in the ACC championship race and possible playoff race.
We all agree this is a championship level defense. It was last year and it is expected to be better this year. Also, it probably has a HUGE advantage of returning almost everyone and not needing the extra practices that we're losing because of COVID. I expect them to be ahead of opposing offenses all year.
that one player is obviously Kenny Picket.
Hes going into his 3rd year as starter, and gets his OC for two years in a row.
What if things just click for him? He's shown he's got that clutch gene--- winning many games from behind and on fourth quarter drives.
If things click, truly click (and we get the senior year version we all hoped for when he won us Miami as a Freshman) maybe he can carry this offense on his back.
Now pair that with our elite defense and our schedule.

I can see us being that level of close this year---the key being Kenny to turn us from 8 wins to 10-12 wins.
