Crean officially to Georgia.

-CBS has the real information. Everyone else is posting shit guesses. They nailed it again, as I posted earlier.

-Oh, Parrish thinks Hurley may, may, be Pitt on the actual contract. Not leaning, but "may". So that's where we are on that.

Crean would have much done better coaching at Pitt. Much larger and better recruiting foot print and one he has traction and reputation already. Georgia must have offered him a ton to make up for not getting Matt’s.

Frank is not going anywhere and Pitt and Georgia are offering same ball park
Lots of alums at GA shaking their heads AD panic.

If you thought Stallings was a little unhinged....martin makes him look like a saint

Please don’t even suggest that, it scares me.
We should consider Ollie or Stan Heath. Otherwise we'd be just sitting on our laurels. Hardy har har.

No matter how you look at it, this is another fine mess we've gotten ourselves into.

From afar, Martin looks like a scary but great coach.

But I talked too many, many Kansas State fans in Maui who were very, very glad he was gone -- regardless of the success he brought to them.

Wait until those kind Southern folks get a whiff of Crean’s miserable persona

Yee Ha

I hope you are joking, please tell me you don't really thing Pitt has a larger and better recruiting footprint than UGA. The state of GA has a ton of big time players.

Wow.

I have a place in midtown Atlanta. I could go for a walk around 4 city blocks and find 5 kids that could play ball for a college. There are players everywhere in the Atlanta metro area

Of course it would be easier to win in the SEC and local recruiting would be more fertile in Georgia.

So the natural question is whether pitt went really cheap on crean or if there was never mutual interest at all
My guess is Georgia went all in after Matta turned them down. No inside info but I think Pitt is prepared to go all in on Hurley.

Georgia reminds of the guy who can't function without a girlfriend. As soon as he breaks up with one he immediately needs another one.

I know some will say UGA gets it and they move quick, but seems a bit strange to me that they're throwing huge offers at guys before their interview is even over.

As opposed to sit around and let others hire the top candidates? Your thinking is absurd. UGA wanted Matta, he pulled out last minute. Crean was the next guy on their board, they made their move. How could you find fault with that?
