The hand-written notes, marked "confidential," state that the 1998 Sandusky report was reviewed. A notation stated that Curley was to meet with Sandusky by the end of that week. If Sandusky confessed that "he had a problem," DPW would be called to investigate, the notes stated.
Yet Curley didn't confront Sandusky, Schultz said, nor was DPW contacted. The initial plan, which he said involved input from himself, Spanier, Curley and Paterno, was to question Sandusky, inform the Second Mile and report to DPW.
"DPW wasn't called?" Ditka asked.
"No," Schultz said.
"Jerry Sandusky wasn't talked to?" the prosecutor continued.
"No," Schultz replied.
"Was there any information as to why nothing happened?" Ditka asked.
"No," Schultz said.
"I felt Tim should have been moving more quickly," he added.
