Caprara just missed another tackle... He tackles air more than any Pitt player I've ever seen. Dane Jackson......sheesh.. Tackle somebody,

Nobody's complaining about the O.....I wouldn't complain a bit if we played even below average D... We were hapless, scheme wise and execution wise. And Quadree just scored another TD on a jet sweep.
We're 8-4 against the 6th toughest schedule in football, and we have the most prolific offense in the 120+ year history of Pitt football.Nobody's complaining about the O.....I wouldn't complain a bit if we played even below average D... We were hapless, scheme wise and execution wise.

On the whole, I've enjoyed this season immensely.
Yes, the defense needs to be improved upon... and it will be as Narduzzi gets the kinds of players he wants here.
But our season has been a step forward.
And we just saw one of the more memorable games we'll ever experience. For both good and bad reasons.
But on the whole, much more good than bad.
I don't disagree that as a whole the season has been successful. There is a part of me, however, that feels that had the coaches been able to even approach accomplishing on D what they achieved on O we'd be in the ACC title game. The other worrisome thing is that we didn't improve a lick on D all year....makes me wonder if the defensive staff is up to the job. Really hard to enjoy that game today when half the team didn't show up... And that's not an exaggeration. We're 8-4 against the 6th toughest schedule in football, and we have the most prolific offense in the 120+ year history of Pitt football.

-We have to have the slowest lb's and secondary in at least the last 10 years in P5 college football, especially when Whitehead went down. We are so turtle slow its scary. Hell, put a track star at safety and try to push someone out of bounce.

To be fair depth/injuries have been part of the problem. Maddox not playing today(forbwhatevervreason)hurt-I asked this question myself earlier, when taking injuries into consideration to find the root of the problem.
Brian O'Neill would make a better safety than terrish Webb. Not really lol, but I'd have been willing to move anybody to his safety spot and see how it went.-No, That would be Webb. When WR's arent outrunning Webb, Webb tries to tackle them, bounces off of them, then falls down. He sucks as a safety. And the fact we have no one better sucks even worse until next year.
