Damarri Mathis

Watch the film on this kid. I really hope we land him (and the timing of today's events are promising).

He's a really fast Florida kid, who is aggressive, and hits a ton. And yes, his coverage skills are really good. He -- get this -- actually turns his head to find the ball when its thrown. Does it instinctively on almost every play; coaches won't have to teach him to change his ways, and hope that it works. When the ball is coming down, he looks like he has as good of a chance to catch it as the receiver.

Would help solve the bubble screen success...

He is a good fit in a position of need. Pitt needs a couple of recruiting classes to build the roster for competitive purposes. As Narduzzi upgrades the below the line defensive recruiting of the prior program, the defense needs talent.

Thanks so much, what a hitter, show stopper, nice posts and informs us all, keep it up, love seeing this video without looking it up, many Thanks again, your Post really add to everyone learning on the Lair!

What I like the best in him is like what you said, he is already looking back as he covers the Wideouts and that means a Pass Break Up rather a Defensive First Down Penalty?

The kid can ball.
Reminds me of Revis, just all over the WR, plays up close coverage's, and makes the Tackles properly right square shoulders and wrapped up tackles, and does it with ease without fanfare just pure technique! WOW, is all I have to say.
