Too many charges - needed to play six inches closer guarding the three - need to do better job chasing done rebounds when neither team in the immediate areas - Frame needs to start hitting threes - he is not shooting on balance - deifying forward or to the side

In some ways it just wasn't Pitt's night. I'm a little concerned that with some personal success they might stray a little from playing as a team, though.

And they may have been somewhat overconfident last night and played with less of an edge until it was too late. I think Capel was trying to get some extra minutes for guys like Peace and Davis for experience in the first half, and some guys may have assumed that meant Niagara was going to be an easy win.

originally shared your view on the subs - now wonder about real purpose - playing time, foul trouble or a message about defense?

We were outrebounded 38-31. Here's the deal, we are going to be the worst rebounding team in the ACC given that we don't have any ACC-level big guys. So for us to win, we either have to play very well offensively or defensively. Last night we did neither.

Its going to be difficult for this team to win many games in the ACC because we can't rebound. Yea maybe we'll get hot a few times and get some wins but you can't get 6, 7, 8 wins if you dont have big guys who can rebound.

Maybe they can beat Wake, GaTech, and pull off an upset or two down the road. I don't think it's realistic to expect much more.

You're right, it's "maybe." Unfortunately for us our three weakest ACC
opponents, Wake, GaTech, and Boston College are all on the road.
My calling them "weak" is not the best because compared to us,
they're really not weak. They obviously have talent, but not ACC elite
talent.
