Defensive strategy and adjustments

It would be an understatement to say that Pitt has a problem with their defensive backfield . Thankfully I missed the second half ,but the stats tell you nothing changed from the first half or the game last week or the PSU game. They simply can't cover your grandma . If there's truly no db talent on the roster then make some type of adjustment. Play nickel or dime defenses and if they run it down your throat so be it . Let them beat you 5/6 yds at a time instead of 20+. Their only chance of beating someone is to outscrore them and when 36 pts isnt enough your in trouble !
Ps ...stopping the run and making the other team one dimensional doesn't work when your pass defense is non existent . Your forcing them to take advantage of your weakness. FORCE THEM TO RUN !

If they can't cover with six dbs then there's not much hope

Wasn't even horrible coverage most times, just good plays by Switzer and that other receiver

The first half Pitts dbs were getting easily beat , they had no idea where the ball or receivers where . It was hard to watch .
