Several items. 1. The staff really wanted him (evidently), which as others have said tells, me all I need to know. 2. In reflection, is it really all that hard to believe that some kids really just want to experience a different location at age 18? 3. Pitt is a really good school. 4. I suspect that when you recruit a kid hard, even if, or perhaps especially, if he turns you down, you really get to know what type of person he is, Devonshire must be a good kid. 5. The truth about the next level is generally if you are good enough they will find a place for you, eventually this dawns on most kids, so why not stay close to home. If it works out and you become a star, great, if not, work hard and become a contributor and you will forever be part of your City's tradition, football group, etc. Pittsburgh has a lot to offer in the long run. 6. If family is involved/important its great for them to be able to easily drive in for a game or for you to stop in at home for a Wednesday(Pick a night) meal in the off-season.......
