press conference yesterday when there were only 3 or 4 questions from the media? Did he see a real lack of media interest in our program?

Hopefully he felt better after the attendance at the NLID event.

Not sure what you mean.
He and Pitt have been all over the local news today.

I believe he expected more questions. You could tell by the expression on his face and he said something like that is it? Really?

There is a real lack of interest from the local media here in regards to signing day. In Bugtussle, Birmingham and Baton Rouge, this is Christmas Day for the local media. In Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, it is a pain in the ass where we give all this attention to HS primma donnas for the local media.

Our local media seem to be too enthralled by the PSU signing day. Two or three PSU articles for one Pitt article.

I asked one of those questions, but from my perspective, Narduzzi talked for a half hour; I felt like that was enough from him, plus I wanted to get to the assistant coaches. There weren't many questions, but Narduzzi talked a lot.

I think recruits has it exactly right. In a major league city, this is a complete waste of time. In central PA and places like it, this is big doings.

That is also why I favor the elimination of a spring football game. In a place like Pittsburgh, such an event will never draw well and will always be a source of controversy. Just eliminate the damn thing and let the 22 people that care bitch about it to their friends.
