This team is 3-3 at best with Chryst, maybe 2-4. I cant believe Wisconsin paid us to take him. We finally found our coach !

What is everyone's opinion on a scenario where we didn't get that money from Wisconsin? Do we still fire Pederson? Narduzzi is a great coach, the best hire we could've made, but he doesn't get to choose his assistants as freely if Pederson is still here. Narduzzi deserves all the credit in the world, but there is a direct correlation between no more Pederson and Pitt winning.
The best staffing decision in recent memory is firing Pederson. The second is hiring Narduzzi.

It starts with a Chancellor that wants to be the Chancellor at Pitt, and uses Pitt Talent like Innovative Professor Juhl that replaced Steve Pederson and chose a Coach that wanted to come to Pitt!
Pederson only came to Pitt to advance his own career and as soon as he did, left Pitt at a critical stage, Nordenberg made a huge error in bringing him back, and using Pitt Buyout Money on him!
Pederson could only attract the same Coaches that only wanted to come to Pitt to advance their own Careers (Graham & Chryst), and left ASAP, and few Very Good or Great Coaches wanted to work under Pederson!
At least Coach Pat showed he wanted to be at Pitt, ran to tell Dantonio he got the call, to interview at Pitt, and chose his Staff within weeks not months because he knew that is what a Coach needs to do right away when becoming a Head Coach.
Furthermore, Coach Pat stayed in the Pitt dorms to get to know every player, and that means he is committing to them, as they committed to Pitt, and all can see that, along with his Assistant Choices!
Pederson, Graham, and Chryst all had leaving Pitt on their minds, but Pat Narduzzi had coming to Pitt on his mind and did not even care who would become the Athletic Director! Just give me the opportunity to become Head Coach at Pitt and let my doing do my talking!
It not about Buyouts At Pitt anymore, it is about coming to Pitt and Buying In, not just the money, but what you do when you come and what you do for Pitt, Recruits, Players, Coaches, Alumni and Fans!
This was and still is the difference between Pitt Today in 2015 versus yesterday under Pederson, Haywood, Graham, and Chryst!
