Dinucci era is not the answer

Dinucci doesn't have the arm. With him being on tape, other teams will try to jump everything when they have time prepare for him. This would cause him to through the ball up for grabs repeatedly as we have seen. If we lose to GT, they should think about punting the season and going with Pickett.
Funny thing being, Pickett might just be better right now than both Browne and DiNucci. But, gotta give DiNucci a shot first. And, yes, I agree... Once game planned for, he's pretty easy to pick.

Everyone that has seen them play has said picket looked the best in practice, but it's asking a awful lot for a true freshman to start. I would start Brown again next week once the season is basically over I would consider playing picket or tMac as one of those guys are the future

I don't believe that they are going to blow Pickets redshirt. He is the apparent qb of the future. I think we should start Dinucci and put in a couple of series for Tmac. If not, next year the only qb with pt will be Dinucci.

I would stay with Max Browne. He has talent but needs a little longer in the system to put it all together.
Narduzzi should give Browne a baseball style PITT hat, clipboard with nothing on it including a pen thats out of ink or a pencil with no lead, headphones that dont work, so he doesnt do any more damage!

I know what you're saying, and redshirting Pickett would be ideal, but at some point the future is now. We have not hit that point quite yet but it's coming--I'd say if Browne and Nooch aren't getting the job done by the Syracuse game, it's Pickett time. Do we really want to roll out another first year starter next year? That will virtually ensure that 2018 is another bust.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing TMAC get a few series in the next couple of games if Browne and DiNucci aren't getting it done, just to see what if anything he brings to the party.

Agree with this. As far as wasting a RS. if you are recruiting the position well and the kid is a very good QB its not wasting a year if you are grooming him to play next year. That experience is invaluable for a QB.

It appears to me that they recruiting at QB is much better and they now have another kid who looks pretty good coming in this class. So if Picket is the real deal they'll have three productive years from him after this and the next kid will step in. Id much rather know what we have for next year than be in the same position by wasting time on Browne and Dinnuci if neither shows anything. Dont count out Dinucci though because the kid is a winner and has that intangible that can overcome his limitations. Id like to see them give him two full games to see what he can do.

Frankly I would like to see the coaches going after more dual-threat type QBs and tailoring the offense more toward that type of player. Having a versatile playmaker at QB is such an advantage in the modern era of college football.

I think TMAC, PIcket and the Kid they have in the coming class can run a bit. They are not Jackson type runners but they are a bit more athletic than even Nate P which is good enough IMO

Right--I'm not saying we need Michael Vick or Lamar Jackson, just a QB who can hurt you with both his legs and his arm, it opens up so many more possibilities for an offense.....
