This isn't just DirecTV "shenanigans" but also CBS playing hardball because they have their "all-access" offering (at a separate cost of course). I suspect they will come to an agreement in the middle before the NFL season starts because both need each other.

I can't imagine how DirectTV survives without a major channel like CBS.

I was on the phone with them last week and got a $ 20 rate reduction.
I plan to call Monday, attempt to get a supervisor in the US and let them know I'm switching to cable unless they give me free Sunday Ticket access.
I also have a 5 line cell phone ATT account, and ATT home security so I'll let them know I'm shopping these around too.
DirectTv did this with Comcast and many years later no Comcast access.

It’s complicated because the Locast app is so new that it isn’t on any smart TVs. So it’s not like Netflix or YouTube where you can just select the app on your screen. That’s why you need a video receiver or television that works with Air Play or some other streaming transmission service to play it.
If your receiver recognizes the app, then it’s just like playing a dvd on your screen. My Onkyo recognizes almost every streaming app on my iPhone and I can play all of them on my TV. The one caveat is that some apps only have programming in 480 or 720 ppi, which doesn’t produce high quality video on big screens.
I just purchased an inexpensive Sanyo Roku 32 inch TV at Ollies for $ 90 to try out FirestickTV, and a TV with internet access.
It has Hulu, Netflix, U-Tube, Sling pay for apps, Free Roku TV, Free Vudu TV, Free Pluto TV and other apps available including internet access.
Mrs Buffett and I wanted to watch Koepka (her favorite golfer) win the golf tournament so we were able to get Locast on the TV internet and access CBS sports and watch golf live while Direct TV and CBS disagree.
I was also able to get Locast on my Laptop and HDMI the programming to my Big Screen TV to compensate for Direct TV lack of negociating skill.
FYI....the networks are suing to shut down Locast, per Wall Street Journal

Locast worked last weekend but how long will this last?
I'm giving them until next week and I cancel Direct TV 300+ channel program, ATT home security, and I'm shopping my 5 line cell phone account around right now!
Mrs Buffett is stuck with her ten line ATT business account but she is giving them her opinion about the CBS DirectTV debacle!
When her contract is up she'll deal with ATT.
For the last two day if you call DirectTV your call get disconnected with a message " we can't handle your call at this time."
I called ATT and told them get me a DirectTV person in the US so I can get credit and tell them I'm history if this isn't fixed soon. Plus I told the ATT person I'll cancel everything because you own DirectTV?

you people just don't know how to exert pressure and negotiate, I got a $20 credit for 12 months, plus $7 off HBO and $7 off Showtime for 6 months.

I did get CBS on Locast but DirectTV should get this straightened out soon.
I hear CBS is trying to shutdown Locast and if this happens you wont get football or golf?
Just cancel every 6 months
Once it hits retentions- you get better deals.
