Jamie Dixon added a player he coveted Monday night when junior college guard Crisshawn Clark committed to Pitt.
Most junior college recruiting activity happens during the season or in the spring. But this time around, Dixon did not want to wait and risk anything. So as a few targets chose elsewhere, he zeroed in on Clark and made him a priority.
After Clark took an official visit to Pitt, he made another official visit to Oregon and the Ducks seemed to be a favorite. But when it came time to decide, he chose the Panthers.
"It just hit me after both visits," Clark told Panther-Lair.com. "It was more of a basketball feel at Pitt and around the campus. The coaches at Pitt were very happy and relieved to hear from me that I committed."
