Some people are coming out in defense of Knight, Smoke, and Barton saying their hands were tied. If this is accurate, then is that not an indictment on Dixon. We all agree recruiting has not been good recently. My bigger issue is player development and team chemistry recently. Is that because Dixon had wondering eyes for awhile, and was not the same coach he was from 2002-2011?

If that is true then it is an indictment. As I stated in another thread (apologies for repeating myself) we all know Dixon doesn't cheat. But based on some information that I've seen it's not unreasonable to think that Dixon wouldn't allow anyone to go near the line (whatever that is) nevermind tip toe towards it but stay on the right side of it.
How would academics get in the way? UVA is doing just fine after they stunk for awhile.

That is what Steinbrink and some ex-players are saying. Coaches that have left said similar things.
The only place I EVER saw it stated that the assistants were the problem was this board. How people knew or thought they knew it is beyond me.

Yea cause that matters. He's going to Texas. Where none of these guys have ties. He'll hire guys more suited to their territory.
That applies to some, but not all of his staff.
