You can pay 1400 per ticket now or get them through schools that will get them. Not sure what tickets Pitt will have. Donations to Pitt wrestling will help a lot if Pitt has a good supply of tickets. Pitt did not have lower bowl tickets this year, but hopefully next year is different since Pitt is hosting.Do any of you know a way to get lower level tickets for the 2019 Championships at ppg arena? Had upper level in Cleveland and would really like to get lowers for Pittsburgh. Thanks in advance.
I do donate to Pitt wrestling and have season tickets, and got upper level seats from Pitt in Cleveland. There are a lot of lower bowl seats but but they seem to be really tough to get. I emailed the wrestling HOF but they said the donation doesn't guarantee tickets, but you are able to attempt to get them as they'll send you an application. I was hoping to not have to pay 1400, but I just might have to. Thanks for your response. You can pay 1400 per ticket now or get them through schools that will get them. You can donate to the Hall of Fame and get 2 tickets with $500 donation.
The Omni William Penn has rooms Friday and Saturday nights, albeit not cheap. Also, Doubletree Monroeville just loaded their rooms for the dates of the tourney(I realize that you don't want to drive/park, but maybe you could stay in Monroeville Thur, and then the Omni Fri/Sat). We've also been running into the same frustrations as you, especially when speaking with the hotel agents and the fact that they won't just say that there aren't going to be rooms available when they do finally load them into their system.Almost equally important to getting tickets,
do any of you know how to reserve a hotel room in Pittsburgh?
Sounds easy enough, right?
I've tried on-line directly with hotel websites and travel sites. I've tried calling hotels. I started calling while still in Cleveland, since most won't permit advance reservations beyond 1 year out. I've tried waiting to speak, and then eventually speaking to sales managers at the hotels.
After much questioning and continual prodding, I've learned that the NCAA has reserved large "group blocks" (basically the entire hotels) of nearly all the downtown ones (within walking distance). These hotels have said that they may have some rooms available, but won't know or release them until at least this fall. The North Shore hotels are booked full; again reserved group blocks apparently this time by individual schools. I was told that Lehigh booked the entire Hampton on Smallman St.
I'm ok with walking a ways and/or taking The "T", even a short Uber ride, but was really hoping I didn't have to deal with driving and parking daily.
Does Pitt have a group block somewhere?
The Springhill Suites in Mt. Lebo is on the T line, walking to decent food and drink and usually a decent price for big event weekends. Check it out.Almost equally important to getting tickets,
