The start of the 2020 class has been very good, in my opinion. A lot of these three-star recruits have many good P5 and actual big-time P5 offers. However, they're Rivals ranking are pretty much the same as Chryst's recruits -- 5.5 or 5.6 three stars. I'm not talking about some of the 5.7 three stars that are borderline four-star recruits.

I have a few questions that I've been thinking about, and I really don't know the answer. I'm not sure if anyone does or if there's even a way statistically to figure it out.
  • Is Pitt actually recruiting better than Chryst did?
  • Or, are more schools offering more kids each year now?
  • Or, is it because Pitt is recruiting more in states like Florida and Georgia where more schools recruit?
I'm curious what you guys think. Personally, I'm really not sure. It's likely a combination of all of those factors. Narduzzi is a better recruiter than Chryst. He's made staff adjustments to improve recruiting. He's had more success than Chryst. He's went into areas where more recruits come from and thus more schools are making offers there. But, I wouldn't be shocked if coaches are, as a whole, making a lot more offers in 2019 than they did five years ago. A lot has seemingly changed in a short period of time in college football.
