Doc Rivers to Philly

Much like the NHL, the NBA recirculates coaches. Having said that, Rivers will do a good job in Philly.
Doc needs the buddy-buddy ownership to not coddle Embiid. If he can get in shape and give you 40 minutes at a high level in a playoff game, that's suddenly a team to beat in the east.
I like Doc but my concern is he usually tries to make the pieces fit together. Sounds good, probably usually is. But what the Sixers may have gotten out of a D'Antoni is someone who would have told management they need to trade Embiid or Simmons so he could properly run his offensive system.
Is that you Billy King?! I kid! It amazes me how narratives start in the media and then just turn into a full fledged dumpster fire. You know how you fix the 76ers, literally anyone who can shoot a three and slide Tobias to the four.
The 76ers best offensive season with these two guys playing together was believe it or not their first year. Take a look at the supporting cast that season, JJ, Saric, Covington, Belineli, Illisova (sp?). What do all those guys have in common, they can shoot the basketball. HMMMMm, they won 56 games Simmons rookie year and a playoff series with people who can make open shots amazing.
Well that’s my point though. Unless you can surround him with shooters, Simmons has a ceiling of where he can win. Lamelo ball can shoot
I think most Sixers fans agree you need to surround Simmons or Embiid with shooters, but have different opinions of which one to surround.
