Does anyone remember that Mark Madden story about kids and boosters?

Umm I don't think Mark Madden of all people would bow down to anybody and keep quiet

It is not in his DNA

These weren't your normal threats. Remember Madden was saying this thing was way bigger than anyone imagined, and supposedly included powerful men in powerful positions.

Again. Ray Gricar.

Sandusky may as well appeal-appeal-appeal. He has nothing to lose, and his freedom to gain. Otherwise, the only way that he'll leave the slammer is in a box.

And besides, what else does he have to do with his time?
At tax payer expense no less.

Goose on his visit to Penn State:

It didn't take long to notice that they had this big pasture of cows right next to the stadium and the whole place smelled like cow shit. All I could smell the whole time was cow shit; it was crazy. I was just thinking, Oh my God, I can't smell anything but manure. It got overwhelming. Of course, Joe Paterno was a good guy when we met him, but the whole place was a little over the top for me. Kind of like a cult. Little did I know what we would all find out years later.

Well now we know why Joe's wore flood pants. To keep them out of the cowshit.

What I want to know in addition to the Sandusky stuff who else was involved with these kids.
At the time rumors were flying around that some big donors were involved in some way.
Hopefully some of the info that was buried with Joe surfaces!

With this new insight of sexual abuse in 1976. Isn't the university responsible to report all
crimes that happen on campus. I just wonder if this actually made it to the report or was covered
up like anything else at ups? food for thought!
Cleary act was not passed until 1990 that requires schools to report crimes.

The Truthers said the want the truth. Well - you are getting it. Since it does not fit the cult's agenda they are kicking and screaming like a baby throwing a tantrum. 409 - the number of lives that were ruined by Paterno not going to the police in the 70's. Not only did he not go to the police, but told the kids that were raped to shut up and keep quiet.

Two observations on this. When Madden came out with that it created a short lived buzz. But strange as it seems big mouth Madden suddenly went mum and never mentioned this again. The hot rumor was he was told to never mention this again OR ELSE.

Second observation: Ray Gricar. just sayin'

WBR, I'll call MM on the subject, I'll try to get on around 4PM Monday.. Listen for Tom in the car...

Nitterworld defended him when he coached, when they thought he was to large a risk to be on the Nitter football staff they retired him, and put on ice in State College hoping no one would figure him out. Pedophiles never stop so they thought if this continued ( which it did) in State College they could keep a lid on it???
Why would one of the best D coaches in the country retire early and stay in State College???
The sad part is most in the know in Cow Town knew or had an idea of what was going on.

The firing was the tip of the iceberg. It was an immediate reaction to an already known matter. They knew Joe knew and Sandusky did it. That's why they fired him immediately. It looks good for the lawyers....which is where we are at now.

It will all come out after Sandusky exhausts his appeals. Once the reality sets in that he is going to die in jail, he will trade information for perks. But I won't be surprised if he dies before that can happen.

True. They tried to buy Sandusky off with giving his wife his pension etc. He will bargain. That's how these perverts manipulate.

Pitt chains, even though I love listening to double M, make sure he's discussing that topic or wait til it's ask mark anything. You got to know Madden doesn't tolerate subjects that are different than his segment. I'll be listening

I could be mixing all of this up, but the Philly guy if I recall is a professional scammer that has made allegations about being abused multiple times by multiple entities. I believe he has a mental illness and is paranoid schizophrenic or delusional if I am thinking of the same guy.

VERSUS

Published on Feb 10, 2013
Jim Clemente (retired FBI and current Criminal Minds writer/producer) goes in depth on the case of Jerry Sandusky and the extent of Joe Paterno's involvement in any cover-up. Confirming guilt is very tricky in sex abuse cases, and Jim discusses the factors that enable some predators to abuse for years.

Bschulter, understood, thanks.

Good link Captain. Jenkins makes a startling point. While interviewing Jo Pa days before his death (interestingly Jo Pa had his lawyer and PR specialist in the room) he unequivocally denies ever having any knowledge or ever being informed of Sandusky's transgressions prior to being informed McQuarey. Yet we have this clear path starting in 1971, continuing in 1976, 1987 & 1988 (reported by his assistants) and 1998 when we all knew he knew something--actually seems more likely that he perpetrated a cover up.
Funny Barron is now in the news requesting fairness for Jo Pa since he can't defend himself and these are merely allegations. LOL. Barron signed off on the payments to the 1971 and 1976 victims--even though the statue of limitations had lapsed. Surely, even Barron knows Jo Pa is guilty. God how may other victims are out there (40 years worth).
Pitt football mostly frustrates me. But I would never trade for PSU's success under Paterno if it meant the travesty and hypocrisy went along with such tainted success.
