Does the ranking drought end tomorrow ?

Like someone else said, it seems to be based far too much on preconceived notions and is almost a feedback loop where if you are in the big ten you literally can’t have a bad loss on conference
I understand that the ACC is supposed to be weak, but they beat the Big Ten 8-6 where every team was matched with a team of comparable standing. I haven't looked at what ACC teams played what other teams from outside the conference. But as an example, it seems to me that a 12th or 13th ranked ACC team losing to the 3rd or 4th ranked SEC team isn't a very significant data point in determining the relative strength of the two conferences.

I didn't realize Pitt could still finish 5th. I was planning on getting to Greensboro for the Thursday games. Might have to reconsider.

Just a gut feeling, but I think a loss at ND and a win at Miami is just as likely as the opposite. Emotional let down after Syracuse and Brey's final home game, but Pitt seems like they rise to the occasion when

Top 6 ACC teams that played won (NC State didn’t play) - 3 of top 7 Big teams lost. ND beat MSU by 18.
