Good for a few reasons:
- Barnes seems to be all in for men's soccer. The new coach is maybe the best in the country and Pitt could become the next Akron, regularing producing MLS players and USMNT players. Its the kind of NCAA sport where if you throw a little money towards it, you can get big results.
- Lacrosse is the fastest growing NCAA sport and is a pretty good TV sport. It would be pretty senseless for Pitt NOT to have a lacrosse team in the ACC espcially if the 5-7 of their games would be televised on the ACCN. Perhaps that means the end for track and field but its not a spectator or TV sport.
