Impressive tape, and I would love to have him. But didn't he whittle his top 15 down to a top 14 just to un-include Pitt? I wonder if he has an axe to grind against us or something and would even consider coming here.
I remember him having a large group of finalists, some really random teams but no Pitt. If you're going to put out a Top 20 "finalist" list, you best include the home team just for looks. Seems like a tool. Not to be critical.
Not only that, but he had like a top 15 and then released a Pittless top 14. It was very obvious he was doing it just to take a cheap shot.
Pretty sure it was something like that. Like he released a list that wasn't even in a increment of five just to show Pitt has no shot (after they were in the top 15 list).
It is amazing how some grown men act like jilted 13 year olds with these kids. Hey, you are trying to win football games, so you try and get the best players possible however you can.
Oh I'm not saying it from a "don't let him in our clubhouse" perspective. I'm saying that if he did that, wouldn't you think he has something against Pitt? I'm just skeptical that he would want to come here; that's all. I know VT was considered to be in play the first time.

I also wonder if they shun their sons, daughters, nieces and nephews for being knuckleheads. Kids do dumb stuff.

If he said something like Pitt sucks I’d never even consider going there then yea ok, maybe keep that door closed. Otherwise we don’t have talent to “reload” and can’t turn anyone way who the coaches feel can play.
Yea, you cant hold any grudges, especially nowadays. And I don't believe in the notion you cant take local kids back because then future ones will know they can take a shot at the big time then come home.
Can we please stop referring to college age people as kids, they are adults.
They are 16 and 17 when they start getting recruited in HS. That makes them kids.

Don't care about then they start getting recruited. An overwhelming majority of them are 17-18 at the time they sign their NLI. The same age as most young men/women who commit to our nation's military. They are adults for all intent and purposes.
Nope. At the age of 18, you are legally considered an adult. Also, everyone is allowed to do stupid s^it, only problem is when you are 18 and you do it, it becomes an issue.

Nah. I live in the environment where college kids do and say dumb things that can be overlooked. Not all transgressions as I said. Some do and should have lasting consequences.
But regardless of what the law says an 18 or 20 year old’s brain isn’t that of a mature experienced and in most cases a wiser adult. And not for nothing, we’re not discussing a legal matter.
We happily have taken local guys who formerly went to PSU (and it worked out). So this is nothing.

I can understand a young man wanting to get away when the opportunity is there. Sometimes after a year or two, if things are not working out, you may want to get closer to home. It worked for Devonshire.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion on the subject as am I and it does appear that we are looking at the issue differently.
