I was driving around yesterday running errands and I turned on ESPN on XM and they were talking about Pitt/Notre Dame. I forget who the two hosts were. But it was a humorous segment, one that we all know too well. The one guy was talking about betting on Pitt against Syracuse, NC State and how he lost those games. Then he proceeded to go over games over the past years, not all Pitt losses, some Pitt wins, and he said whatever you will think Pitt will do, they will do the opposite. The key is not to just don't bet Pitt to win and cover, it is don't bet on a Pitt game at all. They are the most confounding team in college football.
It was not a slam piece, it was more humorous. And thinking about it, living it, they are right. Confounding is a great word for it.
