Don't blame coaches - our O lost the game

Our Defense played amazing today. We held them to 16 points and had 3 TOs which accounted for their first TD. I have never seen a game with so many perfectly thrown passes that were dropped by so many different players. Another game - another week of undisciplined penalties although it wasn't as painful as previous weeks, it was still far too high for a team that struggles to move the ball.

We actually ran the ball well today and the coaches didn't go away from that part of the game. By the time we were on the 1, our D was stopping everything so there was no reason to think taking the FG wasn't the smart play since we couldn't get anything going on O and had run the ball well all day. On the last drive after the TD, Pickett made two fantastic throws for 1st downs that were dropped...I mean what more do you want the coaches to do?

Bottom line is, this team has a great defense but a mediocre offense and today it finally caught up to us. Players need to make plays. Our Defense has bailed us out all season and today our luck ran out.

If you can't play well at home, in a close game, on homecoming, to a Florida school in crappy weather, that is beaten up and struggling big time all over the place, then you don't deserve to win.

That is not on the coaches - that is on the team. Its why we are 5-3 and hopefully, we decide to address these issues and finish 9-3 and not 7-5. I will be at the GT game hoping this team is pissed off and ready to bounce back and stop making these same mistakes week after week!
