Drumgoole commits

107 overall in 247's composite, although they themselves haven't rated him. Big get. Love his game, really seems like he could go in a couple different directions with his frame and skill set. I'd love our own version of Admiral Schofield, but I don't want to put those kind of expectations on him.

HUGE! Now maybe the dam is broken and more committments role in! Welcome Gerald, This is that jolt of excitement that the players and fans both needed, or at least I did. I've got a rather large smile on my face tonight, knowing Pitt hoops is in great hands with this addition and Coach Capel!

I have tried not to get too caught up but I feel like if Pitt could get two bigs/Center types via JuCO/ Grad Transfer, they could actually rise to an NCAAT team next season.

Quick turnarounds are certainly possible in hoops but that would still be a mighty big leap. Nothing wrong with setting your sights high though. Personally next year I’d be thrilled if they’re a middle of the pack NIT team. Actually would be pretty happy if they just made the NIT.

They have now. #170 on 247; composite #116.

There's a good chance he will move up as well.

I feel like if Pitt had an average center who could rebound like a Dante Taylor, it could have a shot at the NCAAT next year.

This is a strange quote from PSN:

"He also had offers from Albany, Buffalo, Cleveland State, DePaul, George Mason, George Washington, Georgia, Hofstra, Maryland, UMass, Quinnipiac, St. Bonaventure and Vermont"

He's a Top 150 player. Why would they list offers from Quinnipiac, Vermont, Hofstra, Cleveland State, etc? Wouldnt he have like dozens of offers from mid-majors? So why list those in an article?

He was off the radar of most teams because of his football playing.
He quit playing football, focused on basketball and teams started showing more interest.
He is a late bloomer if you will.
So his upside is great. Pitt pounced on him at the right time.

Nice pickup. I think his game will fit in well with the young guys we have.

Agree. Fits in nice at the wing & you never can have enough shooters. Also a better athlete & driver than most ppl think he is. Plus with us not having much size at this point he can defend bigger guys with his toughness & physical ability if needed.
