Duke tailgating

Hi guys
Have some out of town friends coming in for the game... was anticipating a noon start but with the 8pm announcement that changes things a bit. Sorry for the ignorance but has anyone done the alumni tailgate event and is it worth it?

Was thinking to hit a couple bars in Durham in the afternoon then head over to the stadium which is a few miles away.

Any insight would be appreciated!
