Dunn injury status?

Pitt had a 12 point lead in the first half.

We brought Jorge and Cummings into the game at the same time, 2 of the worst rebounders and defenders on our team

Play 1. Tonje destroys Jorge off the dribble for a gift 2 points.

Play 3 Blackwell beats Lowe off the bounce with ease, gets a free layup as Jorge was to slow and too weak to protect the interior as he falls to the ground on contact, another gift 2 points

Play 5 Backdoor cut to Mcghee, another gift 2 points as Cummings slipped and they got a wide open layup again. Now Cummings is a weak defender, but guys were consistently slipping on this floor in all the games I watched.

Next score, Cummings went for the steal on a broken down defensive play. Free layup, again with no help in the interior.

The lead was cut to 7 at that point. 4 layups given up with horrible, horrible inside defensive protection and Guillermo watching on the sidelines.

We are going to be forced into the bench with Dunn out. But bringing in Jorge and Cummings and playing them at the same time is dumb. If 1 of them plays, you need to cover up the defensive and rebounding weakness with better defensive and rebounding players when 1 of them is on the floor. We should never be playing both of them at the same time.

A 5 point gift to Wisconsin in the first half because of our head coach misusing our bench and going too deep into the bench. I thought we learned that lesson previously with bringing in multiple bench players at once and allowing the opposing team to go on a big scoring run.
What about some of our poor offensive possessions? I feel like we had around 8 lost possessions due to stupid turnovers and poor shot selection. Heck, the reason Dunn is injured is because of a bad shot attempt which put his body in an awkward position when landing. Totally forced.

If we can be Honest - ISh was the main culprit of really bad shots , he went hero ball for a stretch .

Not great news but they beat LSU and almost beat a ranked Wisconsin without Dunn contributing. 6 weeks from tomorrow they play at Duke and they have 16 conference games after that plus ACCT. Assuming he misses the Duke game, he would “only” miss 8 games due to the light December schedule.. Pitt should win at VT and beat Cal and Stanford at home. They also have Eastern Kentucky and Sam Houston in December. So that’s 5 wins and assuming a loss at Duke leaves the OSU and MSU games which they could split and go 6-2.

This also gives other guys like Delalic and Cummings more PT to improve so they should actually be stronger for those last 16+games when Dunn returns.

A split with OSU and MSU would be huge and put them at 13-3 (3-1 in conference) when he returns.

as Yeah, really. There was an overhead shot last night, and I could see the whole floor move at one point like a laminate floor would move in someone's living room. Might have happened anyway, but you can't convince me that's as safe as playing in a regular arena gym.
floor laid on a solid surfce..no different than any arena in the country....mulit purpose arenas put them on top of ice and they don't move..if you ever had to help lift one of those 4x8 sections like I did a time or two you would know that floor was not moving....Venue was fine...I was there for first game and it was a great time..
