Eagle View Middle School

Hosted the PIAA Soccer Championships. You cant make this stuff up. PIAA not even trying.
I don’t get that. I’m not involved anymore so I have no idea. But it doesn’t appear to have much seating. Hershey park stadium always got massive crowds through the years. MASSIVE crowds.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic because I cant imagine large crowds for PIAA soccer but that's not the point. I'd think that any random MS with bleachers has enough seating but give the kids some type of reward. Not that Hersheypark Stadium is a great reward but its better than a MS. These games should be either played there or a college. Or even the Philly Union's stadium if they'd lend it out for community goodwill. They are into that kinda thing as they helped start the first ever Chester HS soccer team and the team plays at their facility.

No I’m serious. You’ve never attended a neutral site WPIAL game I take it. Crowds are really really good at neutral sites, Highmark, and especially Hershey Park for the finals. Easily in the thousands at Hershey.

It is on their main campus .. their hs teams play there .. saying it was held at a middle school is totally misleading
All of Cumberland valleys facility’s are top notch
I live in an adjoining district .. my son played football against them, I’ve been on their campus 500 times and attended numerous football, basketball games there
Have coached against then in tennis for 22 years/44 seasons

Their facility’s are way better than most PSAC schools

They have hosted football championships too, also volleyball, I think swimming too.
This started 4-5 years ago
They have a huge campus, tons parking.
They have a huge maintenance and security staff if problems arise .. some of whom i still know
I know personally a number of their coaches and trainers, used to work with the football coach
I actually worked there summers 1995-1999 in maintenance

Its their middle school field, which isnt even a "stadium." Its a field with little league style bleachers which seats about 300 people. Being on the same campus as their high school isnt as huge as you think it is. PIAA needs to do better at this.

OK. I'll take your word for it. I did attend a playoff game last year locally and the crowd was huge, bigger than WPIAL football but I thought it was a one-off. Probably 3000-5000 in attendance. I have seen that they've done some playoff games at Century Field though which doesnt even have bleachers. If attendance for the finals is as good as what you say then I'm not sure why they'd host the finals at a middle school which doesnt seat anymore than 500 people.

The neutral site games have that “big event” feel and there are multiple games on site. So a game at Highmark or Hershey, or even at a Chartiers Valkey is going to have people from the previous game, a couple thousand for the current game, and then a couple thousand rolling in for the next game. They get packed.

hey .. they may say it’s at a middle school, simply because it’s next to the middle school
IT IS THEIR HIGH SCHOOLS FIELD .. it is literally 125 yards from their high school, and it seats a lot more than 500 people

Is it 300 or 500?
it isn’t their “middle school field”. It’s their HS field
