Right now on CBSSN. Down 5, 5 to go in a home game to go to the Dance. Maybe this guy is a Pitt guy after all!

In an extremely underwhelming field of mid-major coaches, Grant is probably my favorite but the fact that he has spent his entire career (except 3 years) in South Carolina scares the crap out of me. There is no Drew, Keatts, Beard, or Underwood in this year's class.

I am sorry but I believe it is pure madness to pay a coach millions of dollars to leave town and then hire a completely unproven coach who, assuming a few good players transfer, could very easily go 0-18 next year. So, even though it wouldn't be his fault, if you hire a guy like Grant and lets say Carr and/or Stewart leave and maybe Luther grad transfers and goes 0-18, how patient will Pitt fans be.

You spoke too soon. They came back from down 15 or so and forced OT. On CBSSN now.

Great comeback

up 6 in OT

If we have to hire a mid-major, and I pray we dont, I like Grant the best. I just wished he spent more time in other places besides South Carolina. I'd be afraid, he'd recruit under the radar kids from the Carolinas. BC got lucky with that with Robinson and Bowman but you dont always get that lucky. Plus, if he had any success here, he'd be gone.

Way to understand sports. C of C wins!

Charleston wins by 7 in OT. I loved the scene of Grant hugging his players for what seemed like 30 seconds.

He was at Wichita State for 4 years, but your point is taken.

The strangest assumption being made is that kids will transfer if we get a new coach, not if KS returns. Depending on who you think is the most promising freshman, might be a better chance they return if KS leaves than stays.

Don’t post during games. Charleston won in OT and I wouldn’t hate Grant coming here.
