work watching AAU ball,
following recruits progress,
and checking on their
interests related to recruiting.
I think he does that part
pretty well. As for the hype,
posters on here can read
what they want into it.

Correct. Give Capel a team of 13 Ryan Luthers, and he will give you an 0-20 conference record.

I know Johnson and Champagnie weren't rated very highly, but that was more a case of being underrated. He should focus in that 100 - 200 range in hopes of finding a few more of those types. Well, it might be too late now.

Sorry you can’t have it both ways . Give him credit for recognizing the talent and molding them while they were here . Justin definitely improved and X was X which was his problem .

I'm not meaning to construe it both ways. I'm saying that Ryan Luther wasn't ranked very high AND he isn't very good. The other two guys are a lot more talented than him... they were just ranked lower than they should have been. I don't think Capel can win with a team full of role players (e.g. Luther).

Well Luther may not have
been ranked very high, but
I'd take him over Collier,
Payton, Santos,(and until
he proves otherwise) Jeffress.
I also would rather have had
him instead of Brown and
Coulibaly.

He may have been a role
player on the Pitt teams
of which he was a member.
I do agree that Capel most
likely can't win with a team
full of role players.

No one can win role players you need a couple of stars to win .
