Excerpts by Positions and some Quotes to Dote on & Links to Think! My comments in (Purple Ink)....A Blue-Red Mix of Ying & Yang Balance and Color of Law, Clergy, & Royalty!

Quarterback: ......There’s a new walk-on in the mix in Jake Zilinskas, who redshirted last season at Division III powerhouse John Carroll. Zilinskas was a pretty good QB at Indiana High School playing for his dad, Mark Zilinskas, and was also a junior starter on the Indiana basketball team that won the WPIAL Class AAA championship in 2015. For a fun fact to impress your friends, Zilinskas was Indiana’s leading scorer in that game with 16 points to help take down Beaver Falls and noted Pitt football spurner Donovan Jeter.(Himmnn....I Love When Players Are Coaches Sons I Smell A Smart Recruit Sleeper, Just A Hunch)

Running back:...............sounds like Qadree Ollison and Chawntez Moss are receiving positive reviews from the coaches.............(Hall, Davis, Sibley Will Have A Role Not A Guess Just A Hunch!)

Tight end:.............Chris Clark. With a side of Devon Edwards. Clark is the only scholarship tight end listed on the roster, but Edwards, who started his career at that spot before moving to the defensive line, is back working at his original position.............(Need More Than One Tight End & Orndoff's Numbers, Blocking, and Catching Hard To Replace)

Wide receiver: A pretty solid bunch..............with cornerback Maurice Ffrench lurking in the conversation as a two-way gadget type of guy. (Remember How Penn State & Rutgers Went After Ffrench Late After Coach Pat Offered Him, & Maurice Proved Smart Recruits Choose Pitt Is It As Ffrench Said No To Both In English)

Offensive line:.............. Pat Narduzzi singled out Drake as a standout thus far, which maybe shouldn’t be surprising from a guy who had offers from Alabama, Auburn and a host of other southern powers. “He doesn’t look like he’s a freshman. He’s not playing like a freshman. That’s the one guy I’d say that if he just keeps going, he’s gonna challenge some people that maybe have been here for a couple years.” (Sounds Like Bill Fralic Type Of Outstanding Freshmen & More Proof Another Smart Recruit Chooses Pitt!)

Defensive line: A position that’s pretty unsettled at this point, as several guys are rotating through the tackle and end spots................Redshirt freshmen Kaezon Pugh and Patrick Jones are a couple more to monitor at DE, and senior Allen Edwards brings a veteran presence there. (Go To Link To Read Proposed Starters)

Linebacker: Another group that seems to be fairly wide open..............Narduzzi has made it clear that he wants to get his best three linebackers out there by any means necessary, regardless of “mike,” “money,” or “star” position designations. Every guy has to know every spot, more or less. (Find Linebackers Quit & Easy.....Teaching Experience Faster Much Harder...Could Be Weak Link Or Saturday Game Day Surprises & Difference Could Be 4-0, 3-1, 2-2, 1-4 Early On, Just A Guess)

Cornerback: The conversation starts with veterans...........but includes a host of others.........Narduzzi’s phrase from his press conference Wednesday and say it’s “open season” at this position. (Talent There Now But How They Play Still Uncertain Need Leadership & Competition Could Be The Difference, Just A Hunch))

Safety: Two more veterans...............all somewhat moot until four-star recruit Paris Ford arrives well after spring drills finish up. (Ford Can Play Anywhere Best Recruit In PA Not A Guess or Hunch Just A Fact, Watch & See!)

Recruiting corner....The Pitt football staff had a whole slew of recruiting targets down to practice Saturday, including.....(Go to Link to See All Names & Comments On The Recruits At Pitt The Last Few Days)

Comments on Recruits at Practices.....

..........There were plenty of other familiar faces hanging out on the South Side sidelines, from 2017 tight end signee out of Pine-Richland Grant Carrigan, to former players. Ejuan Price, Lafayette Pitts, Matt Galambos, Scott Orndoff and Jaymar Parrish were all taking in the first practice in pads.
