Edgar Bright

Both still on the team. If you watched the last match against West Virginia on ESPN3, you can clearly see Bright on the bench. When I went to Virginia he warmed up against Garbinsky - my guess is a redshirt from basically missing half the year. Not sure why he - or any other Panthers - didn't wrestle at the National Collegiate Open, though.

Cody and Reaghard basically split the year. Cody wrestled 18 times, Reaghard 19 times. Reaghard actually finished with more individual dual points on the season, if you can believe that. Reaghard has a better season record and finished better down the stretch (2-3 vs. 0-5). Don't really think there's more to read into that.

I'd have sent Cody out there, but things are going to be really narrow if they're going to steal this Tournament. They must of have seen something that suggested Reaghard would be fare better.

i,m glad they are still both on the team. had so much hope for cody. and bright had a decent year last year. i see forys won his consy match and Pitt is in 2nd as of now. hope they can get some of these local wrestlers in the future we could be really good. maybe put some of the acc money into the wrestling program

Troy just pulled off the upset over the #21 kid in the 165 class - a kid Cody lost to in his last start of the year before Troy wrestled the last two duals. Got to give them credit on that move.

I wouldn't give up on Cody yet. Readjust, maybe - but don't give up on him. No one had Tyler being this good, even after year 3. Cody has talent. He's just not strong enough - which isn't especially surprising. He doesn't seem confident, either - which is somewhat surprising.

I think a combination of another summer to really mentally claim the idea of being a college starter, the memory of his friend, Nick Gavazzi that recently passed, and Reaghard graduating could help us see the Cody we all want.
