Eli Holstein at LSU game tonight

Grant Nussmeier has another year down there and I would think he could make more at LSU next year if he doesn't go 1st Round. With any QB, really, I think the only way you come out now is if you are 1st Round. So, whether Eli goes to LSU really depends on what Nussmeier does.
You can play 4 games and THEN take a redshirt but that's a moot point in this case since he has already redshirted.

Eli is probably just home for the weekend. He's from a Baton Rouge suburb.
He's from there. It was an idle week. He went home. A few other Pitt guys were with him. They were in the stands. Players go to other games during bye weeks sonetimes. Others have said Miles Sanders sometimes attended Pitt games during his idle weeks. Happens. You people are goofy.
these guys have friends from high school and previous schools. Didn’t you guys go to other high school games too? I sure as hell did.
Wasn’t it Miles and the little Clairton kid took a photo at their non-rival Pitt’s practice facility?

LSU tried to recruit him out of high school and in the portal and struck out twice. Me thinks he doesn't want to play for Brian Kelly.
If you want to worry about teams wanting to go after Holstein, I'd turn my attention to ND, Michigan, FSU, or to that weasel at USC.

They were still recruits at the time but had already committed to PSU.
What is more worrisome to me is finding out his dad played there and his mom went there. So its obviously an LSU family. I am sure the family has season tickets and he was home for the weekend and went with his family to the game like they've done their whole lives. So that's not really an issue. Posting it on IG wasnt in his best interest and finding out about his parents makes folks wonder how committed he'd be to Pitt if LSU offers him a guaranteed starting job.
Yeah. Hard disagree. Kids go home during idle weeks. He went with a few other teammates. They probably had a fun trip and now back to business.
On top of all that even of you wanna be paranoid over nothing, LSU is all set at QB... What... He gonna transfer there to sit?
Not going to transfer and sit but is it a 100% guarantee that Nussmeier will be their QB next year? Between the NFL and college football free agency, he has options.
Yeah. I think USC would be the biggest threat because they are a qb friendly offense so he could take in the cash And pile up numbers for the draft
Having said that I also think this kid may be one of the few who value relationship and environment and has some sense of loyalty. Assuming Bell stays he has a chance to have huge numbers next year at Pitt. I like Pitts chances of keeping him
So LSU has to decide to move on from Nussmeier... Or, he decides to transfer? Or, he's a strong enough prospect that he decides instead of getting a ton of NIL there and building himself into a 1st rounder, he's leaving early to be a later pick? And, LSU has to decide that Holstein (a player that spurned them twice now already) is a definite get.
Doesn't LSU have other major prospects at QB on their roster or coming to it too? Seems like fans are looking for something that isn't there at all. Players sometimes go to other college games during off weeks. This has been going on forever. He's literally from there and took some current teammates with him to hang out with him and his family. This is a huge reach. There's nothing here.
Young people post stuff on Instagram. He's literally with Pitt teammates there. This is nothing.
USC also has a starter that's playing well with years of eligibility remaining.
I'd be worried if Olivia Dunne was recruiting him.

He’s Underwood’s HS teammate and buddy and LSU is going after him hard. He is having a huge senior season at D1 factory Belleville high here in metro Detroit. LSU wants him as a receiver, Pitt has him as a DB. I’d have to think he’d love to play offense if given a choice.

I think its a pretty safe bet that Nussmeier is LSU's QB next year, not Holstein. But nothing is for sure. Its not a 100% certainty that Nussmeier will be back.
Don’t act like your post was not pushing a board narrative about Kelly that is old and tired, and which has been proven false over and over again over the past 15 years.
