Truly amazing that the 4 teams in the 2A and 3A PA team wrestling finals were from District 11 (Allentown/Bethlehem). Gavin needs to set up camp in the Lehigh Valley. The quality of wrestling in this area of PA is at a different level in a state that already produces the best wrestling talent. Bethlehem Catholic and Nazareth are always near the top but have the top 4 teams ever come from the same district before?

Your absolutely right Pitt needs to do better in that area, Lehigh and Nebraska (Bryan Snyder is from Easton) always pose a problem as well as UPenn. But no excuse, we need to get more top end talent there and Tyler Kasak is no.1 on my list.

That is where I am from and live. Talent is as good here as anywhere in the country.

Northampton very good too and Easton is good, but has slipped a bit.

From a team perspective they lead the way. Lots of kids consolidate to a few programs in that area. Harder to do over here with size of WPIAL and the focus on transfers. 7 usually leads way in individuals but 11 is always impressive too. Both tough areas and some good rivalries have emerged. I think WPIAL also focuses more on individuals than team, imo
